The MOJO LE Tear Away Tactical Kit (TATK) is designed for the Tactical Officer or Operator who wears external ballistic armor or a load-bearing vest for daily duties. The experienced tactical personnel at Combat Medical Systems have noted that the available space on body armor has decreased as the varied mission profiles have increased in the present day. Too often, the medical kit has been relegated to a location on the back of the vest where it is unavailable to the Operator if he needs it OR WORSE discarded in lieu of other equipment. Realizing that one of the most under-used locations on the vest is at the 5 and 7 o'clock positions, it was decided to design a kit that could be worn there until needed. Of course, a fixed kit would be unreachable and useless so one that could be quickly and easily removed was required. Thus, the TATK was born. There are other pouches on the market that utilize fancy pull-wire/pull-tab release systems. These look cool until the adrenaline is flowing and your fine motor skills are gone. Then you realize that locating and manipulating the small pull tabs are difficult at best. Not to mention that the pouch falls to the ground once you yank the cord. Good luck finding that pouch in the dark. The TATK was designed based on the real-world experience of Operators who know that simple, gross motor skills are what are called for when shooting starts. The TATK is based on a simple premise, grab it and pull hard. The Velcro and Snap retention system keeps the kit on the vest until needed but is only a hard pull away from being in your hand and available for life-saving use.
